Although I have my grandmother's fine china, we don't always have a formal dinner.  My husband's side of the family live pretty close to us and there are alot of them.  So we usually just go buffet style.  The main thing I want for my guests is for them to feel welcome and comfortable in my home.  Most everyone knows where I keep everything in my kitchen and if they don't they are comfortable enough to ask or just start looking. :)
